emails only stay on my iphone 8 for 2 months

Emails only stay on my iPhone 8 for about 2 months. I want to change that setting to save all old emails.

I have many important older emails that I want to refer back to.

How do I change the setting to save all emails?

Emails on iPhone do not stay deleted i have an iPhone 10XR. I have iOS 14.0.1. When I try to delete my emails they do not stay deleted. I have rebooted and no success. Appreciate if anyone know what is the problem. Thank you.

some mail providers has settings to control that in

settings->Password & accounts->mail provider->[Mail Days to sync]

"Mail days to sync" Does not appear to be an option on my phone.

Any other thoughts?
