Apple TV family sharing
When you set up family sharing for Apple TV and it asks for Apple ID and password, does the family member use MY ID and password or their own?

They should use their own. When using Family Sharing you should have invite other people via their email address or Apple ID, which is the one that needs to be signed in on their own devices.
