Thanks MoonJ. But I was hoping for more than an on or off to calendars. I would like to customize mine to show only the holidays I observe. I am not Jewish or Muslim so I do not observe those and I find it annoying that stuff takes up space on my calendar which gets really FULL at times with things I do not want to have there. Any other ideas as to how to selectively delete holidays?

Howdy Weeder280,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out in Apple Support Communities.I understand in the Calendar app, you'd like to remove the holidays from appearing.

Customizing the Calendar app is an important feature on your iPhone. I'll be happy to help.

You can turn off the holidays from appearing, by following the steps outlined in this helpful article: About holiday calendars on iOS and macOS

Kind regards.

The Holidays calendar is a subscribed calendar. As such it can’t be edited by a subscriber, only by the creator of the calendar. There are thousands of subscription calendars available on the Internet, most of them free, so a search should turn up one that meets your needs. Or just add the holidays you want to your own calendar.

Thanks Lawrence, I have 5 devices...X 5 downloads of a calendar app which no doubt will not synch with each other and will have to be loaded individually with all my stuff. I was hoping for a less painful episode. I guess not to be, or I will learn to live with Ramaden, Hanakah etc x 5 ;-(
