Mac Os Catalina and WeChat Problem

After installing Catalina, I am no longer able to download images or voice messages in WeChat for Mac. I also can not send files, images...

It shows that it's sending but spins and times out. The error message "Unable to Send" appears.

Images sent to me are able to be seen as placeholders but not opened on the MacBook.


Also, the synching of messages on my phone and MacBook is not consistent.


This is HUGE problem as we use WeChat for work and I need to send and receive files.
