AirPod pros won’t do a hard reset or connect to my phone.

I have an issue with my AirPod pros not doing a hard reset at my case. I can’t get them to turn off even after holding to button for an extended amount of time. They claim to connect to my phone just for a second but nothing more. Also I’m not seeing a green light. Just a flashing white or amber. Thank you for your help.
