Ipad Pro 12.9 Gen 3 is not charging

it happened exactly the same to me today. Strange thing is that the iPad exchange data if connected to the Mac Book Pro. Contacted Apple, and they say it might be the charging port and to bring the iPad to a Certified Apple Service Center . In my area many of them are best buy.

Not happy, at all. I know for sure that this is not happening because of me.
