Question

Connect MacBook Pro to tv via cable and adapter.

Will a mini display with HDMI port connected to my AV adapter work with my new smart TV? I am hoping to connect my early 2015 MacBook Pro to this new tv. The adapter and HDMI cable would not work with either my iPad Air2 or iPhone 8. I am running Catalina 10.15 on the MacBook Pro. I need a separate adapter for the MacBook Pro and don't want to buy it unless it will work.

Thank you Bob. Turns out I can just plug the cables into the TV HDMI port and the one on my MacBook Pro. Did not need the adapter (duh!) Everything working ok. This particular smart TV will not accept iPadAir2 or iPhone8 with adapter, just the MacBook Pro.
