I cannot find the app store on my apple tv. Where is it?

The app store is available on Apple TV HD (4th gen) and 4K (5th gen). If you have an older model then it does not have access to the store, they don't have apps (just preset 'channels' sent via server), and the hardware is not capable of running TVOS or running apps.
