iTunes store in Catalina

in MacOS Catalina, how does one buy a song from the iTunes store? I do not want to subscribe to Apple Music.

Open the Music app on the Mac, click iTunes Store in the left sidebar, select the music in the main window or use the search box at the top of the left sidebar and click iTunes Store at the top right of the main window.

Also see the iTunes Store section of Add and download music from Apple Music or buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Thx for the reply. I was not showing an iTunes store button in the top right corner of the main window. I had already changes the Music preferences to show: iTunes store, but still no joy. I did not comprehend that this wouldn't take effect until I rebooted.

Thanks again for your reply.
