Photos won’t open on my desk top Mac

It is saying “photos quit unexpectedly” and says I can “reopen” but then does nothing

I'm not sure if this applies in the case of Photos quitting unexpectedly, but you can hold Option and Command while opening Photos to start the Photos library repair tool.

Edits on Mac Photos not saved After I edit a photo and click "Done," the changes automatically revert. This never happened before, but now is consistent. I've tried closing Photos and reopening, rebooting the computer, but it still happens. Any ideas?
