Activation lock

I cannot open my ipad mini, I have not used it for wuite sometime, now it is asking for my Apple ID and password but after so many try using the correct Apple ID and password but to no avail. I have noticed that my Ipad is not in the devices I have in itunes.

See this link about Activation Lock --> Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support

You will have to use the Apple ID and associated Password which was used to set up the device. If you have since changed your Apple ID, your iPad won't appear in your list of devices.
