Since update on 9/6/20 (uk) iPad keeps disconnecting from WiFi. Is there anything not too techie that will fix this? Or is Apple planning to sort it out? iPhone not updated and working fine.

A forced-restart may be helpful in resolving an isolated issue:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

If not successful, your should reset the Network Settings on the affected device:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

A restart of your WiFi Router may also be helpful. To restart your router, disconnect power - and wait at least 30 seconds before reconnecting power to restart.

There’s no guarantee that this will resolve the problem, but will do no harm - and we have to start somewhere...
