I just received a phone call that my iCloud account is compromised. Does Apple make this kind of phone call? Or is this phishing?

Is this just phishing calls? I received several calls today different numbers and the same message. In these calls, I was asked to press 2 to get the Apple support specialist or call at a later time at toll free #208-262-0000. The phone numbers are from Arizona with area code 408.

It is a phishing attempt.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
