Wait before enabling two factor authentication??

Hello everyone,


I was attempting to set up my two factor authentication and when I thought I had everything set up I came across this! Can anyone help me? Why do I have to wait nearly a month before being able to enable my two factor authentication?

You are confusing two very different concepts:

  • Two-step verification - Apple’s older security method
  • Two-factor authentication - Apple’s current security practice.
