iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes. I have forgotten my password and failed on too many attempts. How do I update and restore?

I forgot my password and made too many attempts to guess it. I receive a message that my iPad is disabled and to connect to iTunes. How do I restore my update and restore my iPad to factory specs?

Unfortunately you must now fully restore your iPad to factory settings.


Please refer to the following Apple Support documents.


If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
