Can I use a 18 watt charger to charge my 4th Gen iPad. My current charger is 12 watt.

By choosing the 18W Power Adapter (charger), if you should change your iPad (or iPhone) to a current or future model, you’ll very likely be able to benefit from USB-PD Fast Charging.

Be aware that the 18W Power Adapters usually present a USB-C port instead of the USB Type-A connector. As such, if replacing your Power Adapter for an 18W or 30W (or greater) unit, you may also need to purchase a Lightning to USB-C cable.
