Repair or buy a new one?

My 2011 modell of macbook pro with already changed HDD has a serious issues with battery (it wont last a single second when unplugged) and probably also RAM(8GB), so I am wondering if I should still invest to it and repair or just buy a new one.. Thanks for your opinions!

That model is no longer eligible to run the latest MacOS 10.15 Catalina, instead being stuck at 10.13 High Sierra because its graphics capabilities are seen as inadequate.


If you have multiple Apple devices or like to have some more of the latest features, you will need a new(er) Mac, not necessarily a new Mac.


That said, a battery can be had for your model for under US$100. OWC is probably the most reliable source:
