Can I download pictures to aperture from the cloud

Aperture was end-of-life's by Apple 5 years ago. It hasn't had an update in longer and it never will
What do you mean by 'download to Aperture'? You can download things and then add them to Aperture, but Aperture has no awareness of the Cloud as such.

Thanks Patricia. Got it figured out. Downloaded photos to my Mac. Opened in finder, selected pictures clicked the up arrow button (share selected items). The drop down gives 6 options, one being “Add to Aperture”

If you're iPhone is using iCloud Photo Library with optimize storage on, then download the photos from your iCloud webpage at www.icloud.com. Use the Photos.app and the download button there.
