10.5.5 update issue in Catalina

why when i update 10.5 it doesn't take and i have to keep updating the same update?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

Apple released a supplemental update on June 1st, that may be confusing people. Apply the combo update here to clear things up.
