Newly set up Icloud mail not working on ios or macbook

Just set up icloud email address and webmail is working fine but unable to take account online on macbook mail or on iphone.

Does anyone know what the specific iCloud mail server settings should be? My mail app can receive messages but won’t send them. My iCloud account can send from my iPad and iPhone but not my MacBook. I called support but she didn’t seem to understand the problem. What I’m looking for is the specific server name, host name, etc for icloud. Thanks

iMAC and iPhone Mail App - 'can't connect to the account' Hello and Help! I've had no problems until yesterday. Suddenly I can receive email but not send out on my iMAC or iPhone. All software is up to date. It states that it "can't connect to the account" and asks for the password. The password is then NOT accepted. HOWEVER, if I go to iCloud on the web and sign in using the password (Apple ID) I can get access to the email and send and receive from there. Does anyone have any ideas please? Thank you! Dee

Ended up spending about an hour with two different people at Apple support on the phone. Restarting, deleting profiles, adding profiles again. Eventually the email starting working appropriately on my Mac and iPhone and they couldn’t really understand what the issue was. Fantastic service from the team though.
