Reset child’s screen time passcode.

I’ve reviewed other posts with this issue. I need to reset my child’s screen time passcode on an iPad mini. There is no option to do it on the child’s iPad. I can change it with my iPhone but it has only changed it on my device (to approve screen time requests). The iPad still accepts the old passcode.

do I really have to wipe and reset the iPad???

Start here If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support

No luck then here If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

there is no option to reset the code on the child’s device. When I change the code on my device through family sharing, the new code works to approve requests on my device but the old code is still active on the child’s device.
