My Apple TV doe sent search Netflix anymore
Does Apple TV still search other apps like Netflix? For instance, Angel Has Fallen is on Netflix but Apple search only brings up iTunes rental or purchase.

Depending on your country and region, Netflix search is supposed to be supported in all regions where system wide search is available. Do use the Search app, not the search function inside the TV app.
