Have you tried re-pairing your AirPods: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT207010

If the status light is flashing amber, it is possible that replacing the other AirPod will resolve that issue. You can book an appointment at your local Apple Retail Store or service provider here: Official Apple Support
