Why does Outdoor Walk Open not record as exercise?

When I use "Open, Time, or Distance under the activity Outdoor Walk, why does it not show up as exercise

Exercise recorded but not counting towards ring goal? I’ve recently recorded 2 “outdoor walks” today - one for 30 mins and one for 48. Both recorded properly, I can see all details in my activity app BUT only 16 minutes are logged on my activity ring. Anyone know why?

Recording Exercise When I start a walk, and enter the indoor or outdoor walk, and start it, it does not count anything as exercise until my heart rate reaches a certain level. I think the minute I start a walk, it should count as exercise. Is there a way to adjust this so that it will start working on closing the ring as soon as I start walking? I would like a 30 minute walk to close the ring.
