Apple Watch series 4 question

If I have an Apple iWatch series 4, which has both GPS & cellular & I don’t want to pay into any plan for the cellular use, will the watch still work on the GPS alone just the same as a normal GPS iWatch would?

Can I use an Apple Watch series 6 without using cellular? I am looking in for an Apple Watch but when ever I go to checkout, it doesn't give me the option to select GPS. Rather, it only gives me one option, that is to have it with cellular. Now, I have never had an Apple Watch so I am a noob and don't know if I can't use it without it making me pay $10 a month. I was wondering if I could still use it, even though I just don't use the cellular. If you understand what I mean, please help me figure this out.

Apple watch series 4 Hi i was wondering if i get the Apple Watch series 4 gps& cellular, can it only work as gps without activating it cellular?

Yes it will and you can activate the cellular part of the watch at a later date.And you can still make calls and send texts it just means that you have to have your phone with you to do those things.
