Hi there.

I wonder about sharing the iCloud storage with your family.

1- can you control how much storage each member gets?

2- if you backup your device to iCloud it uses the same storage as your device on the cloud, my question is- are using double the storage if you upload your photos to the cloud also?

(photos on the backup and on the photo library).

3- when you go to the cloud on your pc are you able to see all photos from all users?

is it stored in different “folders”?

Windows, Windows 10

  1. No
  2. If iCloud Photos is turned on in a device then photos are automatically not included in iCloud Backup. See: What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support
  3. When sharing iCloud storage, there is a single billing but each person's storage is still private and separate under their own Apple ID. To see iCloud Photos at iCloud.com you would need to log in using an Apple ID and password for each user separately. Also see: Share an iCloud storage plan with your family - Apple Support
