Lacking space on my macbook pro, I managed to move my Photos Library from my laptop onto an external Hard-drive a little while back. But, more recently I've bought an iMac and would like to save/export the photo library from the external hard-drive permanently onto the iMac! I haven't managed to find any help on how to do this online! Is it possible? It would be a great help - thanks!

Just connect the drive to your Mac via cable. Select and drag the library into your Picture folder on the new MBP.

Opps, apparently you don't speak or read "Typo" 🤣. You said you wanted to get the library on your new iMac. So connect the EHD to the new iMac and drag the library to the Pictures folder on the iMac.
You will not be able to move ALL of your photo files to the MacBook Pro. You will need to continue to use the external drive for STORAGE. Your "library" will be on the External drive. Your application (Photos, etc.) will be on your computer.
But my MacBook Pro only has a 128GB drive and I have over 1 TB on my Photos Library on my external drive.
