And then, how do I disable the "find my iPhone" for this phone before sending for repair? Ive logged into my icloud on my pc and cannot figure out how to turn off this app for this device.

Log into iCloud.com/find and remove it the device under Devices/All Devices/ My Devices. Or erase and remove it. Erasing erases everything from the device.
