No WiFi icon on home screen after iOS 13 update

After updating to iOS 13 my WiFi icon diserpeared . I’d tried various trouble shooting, airplane mode, forgetting networks, hard rest etc.

decoved that an expired vpn app was the issue it was still on even though it had expired. Deleting app made the WiFi icon return.

Hello,

Try resetting iPad's network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.
