mi MacBook Air doesn't want to install catalina os

i erased the os that was with my MacBook Air and then I "fixed" it but right now it doesn't want to download catalina

Was Catalina installed before you erased the OS?

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery – Apple Support

If so, boot the Mac while keeping Command+R pressed till you see the globe appearing. Then follow the instructions as listed. :)
