How to do manual migration from 2011 MacBook Air to new MacBook Air 2020. I was told that the only way to transfer everything is to migrate Manually from my old MacBook to new one because it is so old and cannot be updated to the new software. I am not tech savvy. How can I do this?

The best option for migration is to make a Time Machine backup to an external disc and migrate from that.

And, just in case you did not know: you cannot transfer the old OS version as it would not run on the new machine. You can only transfer apps (if they still work in the new OS - better check them all for compatibility at
