I have Snow Leopard and El Capitan installed in two partitions.
I would like to resize the 2 partitions without deleting any of them.
I know it is little bit difficult with El Capitan, but I would appreciate some help from experienced ones.

Some system versions allow live partitioning. But even then backups are highly recommended. I'd use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a backups to an external disk's volumes. Then try to partition the internal disk, and if that fails, just wipe & partition it and copy the backups back to the internal volumes.

Most likely if Disk Utility will not let you resize these partitions then there is nothing you can do other than fully reformat your hard disk and re-partition it.
