This excellent User Tip, Effective defenses against malware and other threats authored by John Galt states:
"Rather than asking which non-Apple "anti-virus" or "Internet security" product is best, a much better question is "how should I protect my Mac""

Best Buy gave me Trend Micro Internet Security when I purchased; did not send the activation key.
How did they "give it" to you?
Did you download it from the app store?
Thank you for providing me with John Galt's article. It makes sense to rely on the security systems already provided by Apple along with common sense and caution rather than to add a security program that may at best be redundant to and at worst interfere with the security that Apple provides.

What on earth are you talking about? No internet security code exists for iOS devices, certainly not from Trend Micro. Again, explain what you are talking about.
No it does not, no Apple products need any third party security products. Mac OS, iPad IOS, and IOS are all extremely secure and only need to be kept up-to-date to remain so. If you want to make your Apple device slow, unstable and appear buggy then begin introducing third party antivirus, security, cleaning or any other "maintenance" app.
You are welcome.
Edit...be sure to give John Galt the credit he deserves by rating his tip.

Does the new iPad require virus protection?
