Brand New Macbook air overheating

I just bought a brand new MacBook Air, and I've noticed that it heats up doing very simple internet tasks. Aside from that, when I play certain games such as Minecraft and Civilization V, it gets incredibly hot and the fan is constantly on full blast. People I've asked with older models of this computer have had no issues with these games. Is this normal for the new MacBook Airs or is there something wrong with mine? More importantly, is it okay for me to continually use it when it is heating up in this manner, or will it damage the internals of my laptop?

You can't hurt a Mac just by using it. Its fan is doing what it's supposed to do.
