Setting >Accessibility > Keyboards > full Keyboard Access > commands

remove “space bar” from the “activate” field.

Are you in a document when this occurs? I don't regularly use Pages, but I just opened it on my iPad Pro 11 and tapped he spacebar and all it did was create a space in the document.. I went out to close the document and tried the spacebar and it did nothing. Have you tried restarting the iPad?

Thank you! I actually contacted Apple Support. I believe they are outsourced, and the fella who assisted me, just offered me a new one, being he couldn’t fix the issue by restarting, doing this or that. By chance I just dropped in and found the solution here. Whoever you are, thank you. I just didn’t want to go through a bunch of exchanging, etc.
