Message sounds when on do not disturb
Is there a way to receive alert sounds from messages - SMS & iMessage - while phone is on do not disturb?

The purpose of the Do Not Disturb feature is to silence all calls, messages, etc. However, the only way to receive text notifications is if you have certain contacts listed as a "Favorite". Otherwise, your notifications will remain silenced until DND is turned off.

To add a contact as a "Favorite", launch the Contact app, select a contact, and click "Add to Favorites".
