Catalina install hangs after clicking Install

Mid 2014 iMac running Mavericks and upgrading to Catalina. Hangs after clicking on “Install”.

Thanks for the information. However Apple Support advised that Mavericks to Catalina was a bridge too far. Instead I had to upgrade first to El Capitan and then to Catalina. This worked - upgrade problem solved!
