I received an email saying I have been offered free Apple tv+ 1 year subscription but, I actually dont see it on my apple tv. It shows default 7 days trial. How to I do redeem my free subscription?

Surely Apple Support knows how to assist users with redeeming the offer, if the automatic offer somehow doesn't work for them. They will verify to see if you qualify, of course.

Other support may be charged by “incident”, to avoid misuse and clogging the support system.

Offer must be claimed within 90 days from when you activated the new device
Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.
The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page where you’ll see the offer.

I can verify this. I just got off the phone (BTW, opt for silence instead of any of the hold music options. Trust me.) with Support. It took 45 minutes, but I now have a free year of AppleTV+ on my new AppleTV HD (and my iPhone and iPad, of course).
One would redeem the offer in the TV app on their newly purchased and registered Apple device.
This doesn’t work, and when you try to ask support, there isn’t an option to get help with this issue.
I am new to Apple products. Do they charge for simple service issues like this?
Exactly the same happened to me. I think it’s a bit of a con.
My free 1-year subscription to Apple TV won’t work on my TV. It wants me to subscribe for 7 days free and then $4.99/mo. Tried to resolve by phone but after waiting 58 minutes, was disconnected.
Ask for a callback by starting your support request online.
Same thing happened to me. There's no workaround. (I just started and ended up immediately canceling my subscription.) These people are cheats.
