Exporting messages

Hi, I was wondering is there any way to export an entire conversation on text messages?

No native way to do this, just taking screenshots and then adding them to a Word file. On Mac you can open Messages app and copy&paste the selected convo (literally selected text with cursor or Cmd + A) in a txt file.

If you need a PDF with exact layout there's a heap of third-party apps that can do this. I would add iMazing to others mentioned above, never had any major issues with it in the past 2 years and it has an option to edit PDF export settings.

You can use 3rd party software for MacOS or Windows to export all your texts to txt or pdf files. For MacOS one such app used by other forum members is PhoneView (https://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/) but there are several other options such as iExplorer and others.

Can you explain further? You mention use the same but not sure what that means so if you can explain all steps would much appreciate. I'm trying to export a singular text messaging history, and seem to be unable to copy the whole conversation, just bit by bit. Thank you.
