lost phone
When I use the cloud to find my iPhone, it says the device is offline and can't be located. Will it still ring when I call it while searching?
iPhone 7, iOS 13

No, if it is offline.
These are the only steps you can perform in such a situation:--> If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support

If you lost your iPhone, and if it says it’s offline and can’t be located, then it will not ring. However, while you are searching for it, put it in lost mode so nobody will have access to your data. If somebody else finds it, they will know who to call and they can’t get into your iPhone.
Thanks.
Could that mean that somebody found it and switched it off?
Maybe, or the battery is dead.
thanks very much. It shouldn't be dead. Is it possible that it is just in a dead zone (no cell reception)?
That's a 3rd possibility, yes.
OK, I appreciate your help very much.
My pleasure :)
Best of luck.
