I have an old ipad that was disabled. I restored the ipad. Now it is asking me to enter user id and password. The id doesn't exist anymore. I even checked on apple id support. Is there a way to bypass this?
No, that is activation lock. You will need that Apple ID and password to open it. Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support

There is no way to bypass the Apple ID and Password that was used to set up the device. Apple will only help if you can present them with the original receipt clearly showing the serial number.
