Itunes store no longer allows me to find songs in store to purchase

I can use search but after clicking on "show in Itunes store" it just goes back to main page of iTunes store so I can't find or purchase a specific song.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

This may be what you are doing but the following works for me in the Music app with Catalina. Use the search box in the left sidebar and then click "iTunes Store" at the top right of the main window.
