Warning about a virus on my iPhone

I have just received a warning on my iPhone that "3 viruses have been detected on you and battery has been infected and damaged" If I do not remove this malware is may cause more damage and I must download and install now ....

Is this possible? I didn't think so with an apple?

It isn't possible. All such messages are scams.

Close the offending page and avoid sites that use such bogus advertising tactics.
