How to enable SMS and e-mail notification sounds through iphone speaker with Bluetooth headset connected ?

Since I don’t have all day my earset in my ear it is very annoying to miss sms, e-mail Viber etc. notifications as I cannot hear them

Message notification sound goes to headset when paired I have read in replies to other posts that it is a "feature" that message notifications go to a paired headset instead of the iphone speaker, rather than a bug. I have nerve damage in both elbows, it is very painful for me to keep a phone to my ear, and I keep my bluetooth headset on at all times. I therefore miss a lot of texts. Can Apple add an option to allow message notifications to go to the phone speaker even when a bluetooth headset is paired? It would help people like me a lot. Thank you.

Sound notifications on iPhone not Bluetooth headset I have a Bluetooth headset constantly paired/connected. This means that my sound notifications come though my headset not on my iPhone. I’ve failed to find how to make the sounds play on the iPhone, not through the headset when connected to Bluetooth. I wouldn’t even mind it it was both (!) but I miss calls and texts because it’s only playing through my Bluetooth headphones. I don’t want my headphones in my ear all day! I have an 11 Pro with the latest IOS updates. Any advice gratefully accepted. TIA.

Bluetooth - notification sound on phone When my Bluetooth is connected to my iPhone 13 and a call comes in, I can hear the call notification sound on the Bluetooth AS WELL as on the phone. That is how I like it! When the Bluetooth is connected and a text message comes in, I can only hear it on the Bluetooth and not on the phone. All message notification settings are on ON. The text messages notification come in fine when I don't have the Bluetooth connected. I would like to receive text message notification sounds on the phone as well as the Bluetooth when the Bluetooth is on. My android (I just switched to iPhone) always gave me notification sounds for everything on both devices simultaneously.

Turn off your earset when not in your ear. Notifications go to the default reproducer, which is your ear roach when it is connected.
