Forgotten Passcode
I forgot my passcode on the lock screen. I already used my MacBook Air and connected my iPad to iTunes to restore it. But it said “ the iPad could not be restored because the firmware file is incompatible.

Make sure you have iTunes updated to the most current version, then follow the directions in this link exactly --> If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
