Today I have received several notices online to update my Adobe Flash player. Last year I did it and had to buy the Malware program to remove it. Is there some way to determine if it is legitimate?

Never, never, never update any app based on a website popup message. If you do have Flash installed, check your computers system preferences and look for the Flash preferences there.
