iOS 13.4 update causes right edge of screen to not respond to touch

After the update on my iPhone X, the right side of the screen does not respond to touch.

For example the keyboard in portrait mode does not respond to the letter “p” or the delete key or “0” or the quotation character. I can use these is I switch to landscape mode as the letters are then moved the a different part of the screen.

In many of my other apps the right side also does respond so this appears to be a screen driver issue not a keyboard software issue.

The non responsive area appears to be 2-3 cm but along the entire right side of the screen.

This was not an issue in my earlier version of iOS.

I have tried :

hard reset

reset all settings

playing with some of the assistive touch controls

no improvement. Next attempt might be to downgrade.
