Transferring from old iPod to Music

Hi... I want to transfer music from my 4th Gen iPod touch to my new iMac - it has Music, not iTunes. I cant get it to do that. Any advice? Thanks.

How can I transfer music from an old iPod touch to an iPhone 13? I need to download music from my old iPod touch and transfer it to my new iPhone? I no longer have access to the original computer I used for the iPod sync. When I connect the iPod to a new MacBook Air, the option to “Sync” via Music tells me that the content on the iPod will be deleted and content from the new MBA will sync onto the iPod. The other option of trying to recover Music via Finder does not work either. I do not see an option to “download” music from the iPod. Thoughts?
