Missing AppStore
My AppStore icon has been missing for quite some time. I have limped along without it. But I can’t add or remove an app. Any suggestions?

As the app store can’t be deleted, most likely it is disabled in Screen Time settings. Go to Settings/Screen Time, enter your passcode if you have one, then Content & Privacy Restrictions, iTunes & App Store purchases.
