Screen rotation
In messages I did something and my screen went from being vertical to horizontal. I cannot figure out how to change it back! Any ideas out there? Thanks! My iPhone is a 10

Did you turn on auto lock ? It’s a little lock symbol with a circle around it with an arrow. If the symbol is grey and white then it’s off and if it’s white and red then auto lock is on. You should be able to find it the same place you can control your brightness from.
